INSTRUCTOR
With 34 years of riding experience, Larry Jobe, owner and operator of Maine Coast Motorcycle is your instructor. He has traveled the coast of Maine for over 10 years from Presque Isle to Kittery.
Larry is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after more than 24 years of service. While in the Coast Guard, Larry was stationed at the Aids to Navigation team in Southwest Harbor Maine. As a Lighthouse Technician, he took responsibility for 24 lighthouses from Calais to Port Clyde, many of which you will travel to on the Lighthouse tour.
Often times while standing his watch he dreamed of owning his own business and doing something fun. With a love of the coast and a love of motorcycles, Maine Coast Motorcycle is a dream come true. Larry is married and lives on the Maine Coast with his wife, Roxanne and his dog, Koko.
Larry Jobe is a nationally certified Motorcycle instructor, licensed in the state of Maine. Safety certifications include: "A crash course for the Motorcyclist" and "Advance Bystander Assistance", CPR and First Aid. He is a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (MOA) and United Bikers of Maine.
Most memorable motorcycle moments:
  • picking up the new BMW R1200CLC off the showroom floor
  • riding the Mt. Washington Auto Route
  • riding toward Mt. St. Helens when it erupted in May of 1980
